Obituary for Robert H Parker

Robert H. Parker, Rochester, NH. formerly of Dracut. Born July 19, 1925 in Dracut, MA passed away at the age of 93 on August 31, 2018. Raised in Dracut, he fondly recalled his time spent with the Civilian Conservation Corps in the North Pacific States. He proudly served his country during WWII aboard the USS Buoyant stationed in the Pacific. He enjoyed his employment years on the open road driving tractor trailers.

He married the love of his life, Beverly Lee Whiting, September 24, 1949. He was a dedicated father to his family - daughters Cynthia Terrell of Townsend, MA, Valerie Hamel and her husband Charles of North Chelmsford, MA and Lauri and her wife Jill of Rochester, NH, his grandchildren Sandra Jeffrey, Debra Banks, Tara Velez, Gena Terrell, Robert Terrell and Parker Sikora. He also leaves behind nineteen Great-grandchildren and ten Great-great grandchildren. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed spending his free time with all of his family at the beaches and mountains of New Hampshire. In his retirement years he wintered in Dunedin, FL and summered in Rochester, NH.

He was an amazing man full of love and life, and will be dearly missed.

ARRANGEMENTS :Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, September 6th from 4-7PM in DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, Ma. His funeral will be held from the funeral home at 9:15AM, on Friday, with his funeral service at 10AM in Christ Church United,10 Arlington St. Dracut. His burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Dracut. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org or Mass/ New Hampshire Chapter, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, Ma.02452.
