David R.  Sanborn
LOWELL, MA - David R. Sanborn, 81, of Dracut, died peacefully, Tuesday, August 7th, at Willow Manor in Lowell.

David was born in Boston, on January 7th, 1937, a son of the late Edith (Adler) and George Sanborn. He was a graduate of Lowell High School. Upon graduation, David enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard.

David was employed by the Courier Citizen for over 30 years until its moving. He was then employed by the Lowell School Department and the Lowell Police Department as a custodian.

He was an active member of the Long Meadow Golf Club where he was a board member and past president.

David is survived and will be deeply missed by his children, Tracy and her husband Jeffrey Delaware of Haverhill, Gregg and his wife Carol, and Kurt Sanborn all of Dracut; 4 grandchildren, Benjamin, Hannah, Jasen, and Julia; and former wife Judith S. (Leeman) Sanborn.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on FRIDAY, August 10th, from 4 - 8 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, MA. His funeral service will be held immediately following his calling hours at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
