Obituary for Roger L. Robey

TYNGSBORO, MA - Roger L. Robey, 65, of Tyngsboro, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Helen (Caples) Robey with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, on January 7, 1953, a son of the late Laura (Fortin) and Edmund Robey. He was a graduate from the Lowell Trade School. Prior to his retirement in July 2017, Roger worked as a truck driver for Soucey Septic for many years.

Roger was passionate about baseball and served 25 years as the president of the Tyngsboro Youth Baseball Association. He also served as District 2 Commissioner for the Cal Ripkin Baseball League for many years.

In addition to his wife, Helen, Roger is survived and will be deeply missed by his two children, Roger L. Robey Jr. and Keri Robey both of Tyngsboro; his 3 brothers, Donald Robey and his wife Jean of Pelham, NH, Richard Robey and his wife Martha of Lowell and Francis Robey of Derry, NH; his sister, Lucille Archambault and her husband Charles of Lowell; his granddaughter, Jayden Robey; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his grandson, Zakk Robey and his three sisters, Claire Langlois, Dorothy Archambault and Lorraine Talbot.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on TUESDAY, July 17th, from 4-8 p.m. at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, MA. His funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 18th at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
