LOWELL- Louise B. (Poirier) Paquette, 73, passed away, Saturday, January 20th at home. She was the beloved wife of Adrien “Butch” Paquette.
She was born in Lowell, On August 1, 1944, the daughter of the late Marie Ann (Levasseur) and Charles Poirier. She was educated in Lowell attending Notre Dame De Lourdes and graduating from Keith Hall.
Louise worked as a home health care provider for many years and was also employed by Raytheon and The Lowell Sun.
Louise’s children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was lovingly referred to as “Memere”. Louise made some wonderful lifelong friends while vacationing on Long Lake in Naples, ME. She was known for the delicious meals she had prepared and would always insist on feeding guests whether or not they were hungry. Her kitchen was the traditional Sunday night gathering spot for her children and their many friends. Louise always put other’s needs before hers and unselfishly cared for those she loved.
Besides her husband, Louise is survived and will be deeply missed by her four children: Kenneth Paquette and his wife Carole of Pelham, NH, Pamela Bue and her husband John of Nashua, NH., Brian Paquette and his wife Amy of Hopedale, MA, and Karen Sandberg and her husband Gregg of Clinton, MA, two siblings: Charles Poirier and his wife Penelope of Wells, ME, Jeannie Marchand and her husband John of Dracut, MA, and her Brother-in-law, Richard Joyce and his wife Marguerite of Manchester, NH. She is also survived by her brother in law, Bernard Lemoine and his wife Jane of Nashua, NH and Fort Pierce, FL, her sister in law Lorraine Michaud and her husband, John of Dracut, MA, and her sister in law Rita Veneziano of Dothan, AL as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her nine Grandchildren: Nicholas and Patrick Bue, Madelyn, Caitlyn and Griffin Paquette, Kenneth and Nicole Paquette, Emily and Andrew Sandberg.
Louise was Pre-Deceased by her sister Marie Poirier Joyce, and her mother and father in law, Adrien Paquette and his wife Anna (Boisvert) of Lowell, MA, as well as her sisters in law Pauline Lemoine and Jeannie Brunelle.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, January 25th, from 4 to 8 at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT, Ma. Her funeral will be held Friday, January 26th, at 8:45am from the funeral home followed by Her Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 10 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Lowell, Ma. Her burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Tewksbury, Ma.
