Obituary for Irene E. Cieslik (Bubnel)

DRACUT-Irene E. (Bubnel) Cieslik, 92, passed away, Thursday, October 18, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Cieslik, who passed away in January 2008.



Irene was born in South Boston, on March 3, 1926, a daughter of the late Estelle "Stephanie" (Koldis) Bubnel and Anthony Bubnel. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Upon her graduation she began her legacy as wife and mother. Later, she became employed by Courier Citizen, where she worked as an Office Clerk until her retirement.



She was active within the polish community and enjoyed attending various polka functions dancing the night away. She was also a member of the P.A.V. Ladies Auxillary, where she held the position as an Officer for many years.



Irene is survived and will be deeply missed by her children: James Cieslik of Dracut, John and his wife Mary of Sandown, NH. and Kathy Sweet and her husband Ernie of Dunstable, her eight Grandchildren: Kristen and Garret Sweet, Tricia Cieslik, John Cieslik and his wife Veronica, Jennifer Chalifoux and her significant other Charles Dichiara, James Cieslik and his significant other Carrie Grasse, Jason Cieslik and his wife Brenna and Jill and Michael Cuhna. She also leaves her ten Great Grandchildren that she adored, her brother Richard Bubnel and his wife Jean of Gardner, and countless extended family and friends that held a piece of her amazing heart.



ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, October 21st, from 4-7PM, in the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT, MA. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home, Monday, October 22nd at 8:45AM followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10AM in Saint Francis' Church, Wheeler Road, Dracut. Her burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
