DRACUT- Donna M. (Vaughan) Brody, 57, passed away, Wednesday, October 3rd, at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Scott Brody.
Donna was born on November 9, 1960, daughter of the late Harold Vaughan and Claire (Conway) Vaughan of Billerica. She was a graduate of Billerica High School and Fitchburg State College where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
She was a preschool teacher before getting married and taking time to raise her children. Whatever they needed, she answered the call. When her children were all in school, Donna returned to teaching at Kathy's Building Blocks Nursery School. She was a member of the Dracut Scholarship Foundation for 20 years, serving as president in 2016-2017. She served as a member of the Dracut School Committee and volunteered in many other town organizations. If she wasn't volunteering or staying busy with her family, you could find Donna gardening, sewing, cooking or hosting get-togethers. Her family and friends meant everything to Donna.
In addition to her husband and mother, Donna is survived and will be deeply missed by her children Samantha Chambers and her husband Greg of Tewksbury, Rachel Brody and Greg Brody both of Dracut; her siblings: Patricia Membrino of Billerica, Michael and Justine Vaughan of York, ME, David and Debra Vaughan of Gardner, and Cheryl and Peter Kelley of Chelmsford; and her brother and sister-in-law Michael and Lisa Brody of Simi Valley, CA. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may pay respects on Tuesday, October 9th, from 3-7PM in the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT, MA. A service will be held in the funeral home at 7PM.
