Obituary for Catherine S. Daigle

Print

Catherine Daigle of Dracut, Ma, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was born in Montreal, Quebec on November 1, 1931, daughter of the late Marie and Charles Hancox.

She married Normand Daigle of Dracut, Ma and together they celebrated over 50 years of marriage and raised 4 children together. Catherine's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. Whether it was delighting in their joys or simply watching them succeed, nothing prided her more. Catherine would lovingly boast to all who would listen about her childrens' success and her granchildrens' milestones. She further opened her heart and extended her family working as a caregiver for the elderly, helping them to find joy and comfort in the last stages of their lives.

Catherine was known for her elegance and her stint as a fashion model highlighted her keen eye for style. Though she presented herself with unparalleled grace, she never took life too seriously. She exhibited courage without boundaries, never shied from a challenge and overcame life's hurdles for the love of her family. Though departed from life, her spirit and her legacy will remain alive in the countless lives she touched.

She is survived by her husband Normand along with their children: Leila Pelosi of Chelmsford, MA., daughter Linda Southworth and husband Bryan of Lowell, MA., son David Daigle and his wife Cilena of Nashua, NH. and daughter Marie Geoffroy and husband Roland of Dracut, MA. Catherine is also survived by granddaughters Becky, Katie, Julia, Samantha,Haley and Alayna, grandsons Bryan, Jeff, Caden and Lucas as well as 7 great grandchildren. Catherine also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by her son-in-law Lawrence Pelosi of Chelmsford, MA.

The Daigle family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Shamim Dahod and her staff for the care and comfort that they showed to Catherine.

Bonne nuit ma cherie.
