Obituary for Eugenia C. Hebert (Thomas)

LOWELL - Eugenia Carolyn (Thomas) Hebert, a longtime Lowell resident, died Friday, September 28, 2018, at Lowell General Hospital. She was 82.

Eugenia was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts, on July 13, 1936, a daughter of the late Ruel E. and Mary A. (Marshall) Thomas. At a young age, she moved to Lowell, where she attended St. Michael's Grammar School and went on to graduate from The Lowell Trade School. She worked in the Lowell Mills and Lowell City Hall for many years. As a gifted seamstress, Eugenia made her own wedding gown and her entire wedding party's attire. She enjoyed camping at Salisbury Beach with her family and friends. Having a love for dancing, she was a long time member of the ‘Come Alive After Five Ballroom Dancing Club.' She was also a devoted Catholic and a communicate of St. Rita's Parish in Lowell.

Eugenia will be fondly remembered for her contagious laugh, sparkling green eyes, beautiful smile, and her love of the color pink.

Eugenia is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Marsha J. Hebert, and Brian K. Hebert, both of Lowell; her grandchildren, Olivia Hebert, Lori Hebert, Nicole Hebert, and Joseph Hebert , her Great Grandchildren Angelina Rose Hebert and Jacob Peters, she also leaves two sisters, Deborah Quinlan, and Sheila Bjorkman; her brother, Robert Bjorkman; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her siblings: Edward Mayall, Brenda Elie, Gail Garcia, Kathleen Garcia, and Donald Bjorkman.

Eugenia is also predeceased by her beloved son, Scott ‘Scotty’ E. Hebert.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, October 3rd, from 3 - 7PM at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT . Her funeral will be held from the funeral home Thursday at 9AM with her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10AM in St. Rita’s Parish, 158 Mammoth Road. Lowell. Her burial to follow at Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery.
