DRACUT-Elaine L. (Drew) Taylor, 96, passed away, on Sunday, September, 23rd ,at Palm Center in Chelmsford. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert F. Taylor.

Elaine was born in Lowell, on October 27, 1921, a daughter of the late Annie (Chitty) and Milford Drew. She was educated in the Dracut School system and graduated from Dracut High School, Class of 1939. She lived most of her life in Dracut, moving to Lowell in 1979. She was employed by Lowell Day Nursery and Wang Laboratories from which she retired in 1984.

In her free time Elaine was an active member of the First United Baptist Church of Lowell all of her life. She taught Sunday School for 35 years, served on the Christian Education and the Diaconate Boards. She was also a member of the Mother's Club and the Adulaca Class. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing, skating, swimming, reading, quilting,cooking and sewing. However, her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the greatest joys in her life.

Elaine is survived and will be deeply missed by her two daughters: Celena Ferron of Pelham, NH and Mr. Daniel ( Leona )C. Simmons of Lowell, her three Grand daughters: Mrs. Greg (Lisa) Andrusaitis of Pelham, Mrs. Alan (Tracey) Marcotte of Dracut and Dr. Matthew and Attorney Danielle Simmons-Silva of Chelmsford. She also leaves her Great Grandson Logan A. Marcotte of Dracut, three Great Grand daughters: Sierra M. Marcotte, Morgan Simmons-Silva and Madeleine Simmons-Silva a nephew Rodger Smith and his wife Adrianne of Harbor City, California, as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Elaine was predeceased by a chosen sister and friend Doris E. Martell, and her son in law William Ferron.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, September 26th, from 4-7PM in the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Her funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 10AM in the First United Baptist Church, 99 Church St. Lowell. Burial to follow in the Edson Cemetery.
