The picture of your smiling face reminds me of the time we spent together in Tokyo, sometimes after work and sometimes at weekend. I remember going to the live concerts of the American musisians like Temptations, Dr. John and Neville Brothers. I remember we missed the last train and then we somehow managed to get home in the middle of the night. I remember you were my teacher of English language and the sense of "American" humor. I remember you missed your family after they returned to the states. I remember going to Kamakura with you and your son. Actually, I was in the states for two and a half years between 1995 and 1997. I tried to get in touch, but your phone number I knew did not answer. I have never imagined talking to you like this but I finally found you, Bob. May you rest in peace.
