ST PETERSBURG, FL – David G. Rodrigues, 70, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 30, 2018 in St. Petersburg, FL. He was the beloved companion of 40 years to Janie May Ray.
David was born in Lowell, on August 17, 1947, a son of the late Jennie (Kalil) and David Rodrigues. He was educated in Lowell and graduated from Keith Academy in 1965 and later attended Lowell Tech.
He was a senior custodian for the Lowell District School System for 30 years prior to his retirement. David was also a real estate agent, an umpire for ASA and the head of Local Union 159, serving as president for 30 years.
David had a love for all New York sport teams, especially the New York Yankees. He also enjoyed playing fetch with his dog Jetes.
In addition to his companion Janie May Ray, he is survived and will be deeply missed by his two children, Cheryl Suarez and her husband John of Nashua, NH and David Rodrigues of York, ME; his four grandchildren, Alyssa, Joshua, Ava and Aiden; and his brother, Dana Rodrigues and his wife Francine of Lowell.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, April 25th, 2018 from 5-7PM at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, MA. His burial will take place at 11AM on April 26th, 2018 in Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst Street, Nashua, NH 03064 at 11AM.
