LOWELL- John J. "Jay" Fuller, 77, passed away Thursday, March 29th surrounded by his loving family at his son John “Joe” Fuller Jr’s home where he resided for the past year. He was the husband of the late Regina "Reggie" (Redman) Fuller, who passed away December 8, 2012.

Jay was born in Nashua, NH on February 5, 1941, a son of the late Irene (Chalifoux) and Harold Fuller. He graduated from St. Michael's Grammar School and attended St. Michael’s Church where he also served as an altar boy. Jay was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1959, where he met and fell in love with “the love of his life” Regina “Reggie” Redman. While attending LHS, Jay played football and ran for the track team. After their graduation, Jay and Reggie married on April 2, 1961 and were blessed with three sons. Jay started his career at Courier Citizen, and also worked for Joe Curran landscaping. Upon the closing of Courier, Jay secured a position with Sullivan Brothers Printing where he worked until he retired in 2003.

When his three sons were young, Jay coached them in Lowell Jr. Football, Pop Warner Football, and St. Michael's Little League Baseball. Jay helped mold all of his boys into great athletes and continued to coach many other talented players for decades. He was also a life-time member of the East End Club of Lowell. Jay and his wife Reggie loved to travel and they spent many summers vacationing at Hampton Beach, NH and camping in Kingston, NH. They also enjoyed spending time at their winter home in Naples, FL. Jay’s hobbies included hunting and fishing and he especially loved spending time with his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Jay is survived and will be deeply missed by his three sons: John "Joe" Fuller, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Lowell, Scott Fuller and his wife Patricia of Lowell, and William "Bill" Fuller and his wife Lisa of Dracut. He also leaves his twelve Grandchildren: John III, Matthew Fuller and wife Jessica, and Nicole (Fuller) Rosa and husband Scott; Michael Cook and wife Kerianne, Scott Jr., Ryan , Gregory, and Gabrielle Fuller; Krista (Fuller) McManus and husband Brian, William Jr., Rory, and O'Lyvia Fuller; his six Great Grandchildren: Aubrielle and Andrew Rosa, Wesley and Teagan Fuller, Gavin Cook and Ruby Fuller and his five siblings: Harold Fuller of Lowell, Eleanor Shirton and husband James of Methuen, Clare Dowling of Lowell, Brenda Makiej of Lowell, and Brent Fuller and wife Ida of Cypress, CA. Jay also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and countless lifelong friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, April 5th, from 4-8 PM in the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT, MA. His funeral will be held from the funeral home at 9AM with his Funeral Mass to follow at St. Michael's Church, Lowell on Friday, April 6th at 10AM.
