Obituary for Normand Saucier

Normand Saucier
DRACUT- Normand Saucier, 74, passed away, Saturday, March 17th at Lowell General Hospital, Saint’s Campus. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Murphy) Saucier.

He was born in Lowell, on December 17, 1943 a son of the late Harvey and Cecile (Belanger) Saucier. He was educated in the Lowell Parochial School system and he continued his education at Lowell University. He served his country proudly in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam Era before he was honorably discharged.

Normand was employed by New England Telephone of Lowell. He started as a linesman and through his hard work and diligence he worked his way up the ladder, retiring as a Manager after 35 years.

Even in his free time, Normand was a busy man. He coached his kids years ago when they were in youth sports. He was a Member of the Telephone Pioneers, an avid Red Sox fan, a history buff and he would walk his Golden Retriever, “Champ” for miles, before he too, passed. His recent hobby of sketching and artwork brought him much happiness during the end of his life. Out of all of these activities, the most important thing to Normand was spending time with his Grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Patricia, Normand is survived and will be deeply missed by his children: Michael H. Saucier and his wife, Melissa of Londonderry, NH. and his daughter, Mary Beth Murphy and her husband Jeffrey of Atkinson, NH. He also leaves his five Grandchildren: Madison and Emma Saucier, Makayla, Connor and Nathan Murphy, his siblings: Irene Breton and her husband Raymond of NH., Gerard Saucier of NH., Janet Hebert and her husband Paul of Lowell and Jane Foye also of Lowell.
