DRACUT, MA - Theresa A. Larose, 90, a long-time resident of Dracut, died peacefully, Sunday, January 28th, at D’Youville Senior Care of Lowell.

Theresa was born in Lowell, September 25, 1927, the daughter of the late Mary (Donahue) and Maurice Lysaght. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Tyngsboro and continued on to Nursing School achieving her R.N. She was a devoted nurse to all of the veterans at the VA hospital in Bedford, MA, where she worked for 37 years prior to her retirement.

In her spare-time she enjoyed going to yard sales and knitting Christmas stockings for family members and friends. She traveled extensively including trips to Ireland with her sister Mary and other family members.

Theresa is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Kenneth and his wife Louise of Lowell, Linda (Larose) Dugan and her husband James (Jim) of Derry, NH., Karen Larose and her partner Bob Grant of Fitchburg, and Martha Larose of Lowell; her two grandchildren, Jeremy Dugan and his wife Penny of Longmeadow, MA, and Jonathan Dugan and his wife Carrie of Derry, NH; her four great-grandchildren, James, Noah, and Annabelle Dugan and Charlotte Dugan; her three nieces, Maureen Collins-Rea and her husband Michael of Billerica, Kathleen Hilbert and her husband Daniel of Chelmsford, and Sheila Polli and her husband Carl of Del Ray Beach, FL. She will also be deeply missed by a very close family friend, Cindy Bernard of Lowell.

She was pre-deceased by her grandson Christopher Dugan and three brothers, Edmund, Raymond, and Maurice Lysaght and her sister, Mary Collins.

Her family wishes to thank the staff at D’Youville Senior Care for the love and respect shown in their care of her for the past five years.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 3 to 7 p.m. on THURSDAY, February 1, 2018 at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, MA. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. with her Funeral Mass to follow in Holy Family Parish in Lowell on FRIDAY, February 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. Burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell.
