HUDSON, NH – Ethel M. (Jalbert) Lyons, 89, long-time resident of Tyngsboro, MA died peacefully, Monday, January 15, 2018, at The Inn at Fairview in Hudson, NH. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Lyons, until his passing in 2016.
Born in Lowell, MA on August 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Enis) and Joseph Jalbert. Ethel took pride in being a mother and taking care of her family.
After her husband’s retirement Ethel and her late husband, loved spending time in Leesburg, FL., where she lived in recent years.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her two children, Karen Moreau and her husband Marc of Nashua, NH, and John J. Lyons and his wife Colleen of Chelmsford; her three grandchildren, Timothy Moreau, and Kevin and Eric Lyons; as well as several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Along with her husband, Joseph, Ethel is predeceased by her two sons, Kevin J. Lyons and Joseph L. Lyons Jr., and her two brothers, Michael P. and Peter J. Jalbert and sister-in-law Eleanor Jalbert.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends may call on MONDAY, January 22, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, MA. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home at 9 a.m. with her Funeral Mass to follow in St. Mary Magdalen Church in Tyngsboro on TUESDAY, January 23, 2018 at 10 a.m. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chelmsford.
